Where Mornings Taste ofMadras

Crisp dosas straight off the tawa, idli steamed soft, and filter coffee poured the slow way — the same breakfast table three generations of Mylapore have gathered around.

Our Story

Where Tradition Meets the Table

Madras Mandir began as a single filter coffee counter in the by-lanes of Mylapore — a place where the aroma of roasted chicory met the quiet ritual of a temple town's morning. Three generations later, that same unhurried care shapes every dosa, every tumbler of coffee, every leaf we serve on.

We hold close to what our grandmothers taught us: fresh idli batter ground each morning, sambar simmered slow, and coffee brewed the old way — no shortcuts, no substitutes. It's a philosophy as much as a menu.

The owners are too good and we accidentally got cold dosas and they literally exchanged them for us. It's my permanent spot. The taste is incredible.”
